i've been using BHP all this while.. before that i was on Shell. comparing BHP to shell, BHP more power. bt shell better mileage. do note, i use RON97 when i was using shell, and RON92 when i am on bhp (main reason why i use BHP is because they have RON92) now, forced to use RON95.. |

In the other hand, Ron 95 sulphur content in petrol reduce from 1500ppm to 500ppm under Euro 2M standard, thereby contributing to a cleaner environment but only BHPetrol notice that the Infiniti 952X and Infiniti972X is 800ppm but still approve Euro 2M. Other brand didn't mention how many ppm for their petrol. :unsure Shell’s V-Power Racing fuel has a minimum value of RON 97. However, octane quality is only ONE of the many qualities associated with power and engine efficiency. Besides having the properties designated by its RON rating, Shell’s V-Power Racing is a high performance fuel with a specially engineered fuel formulation designed to help improve responsiveness, acceleration and power. It’s Friction Modification Technology (FMT), is the exactsame technology used by Ferrari’s F1 team – a proud result of 60 yearsof Shell’s research and technical partnership with Ferrari. Shell also ensures careful selection of the base fuel components used for Shell V-Power Racing to increase combustion efficiency, and incorporates other important fuel additives that clean and remove existing deposits from the engine. Introducing BHP Infiniti95 2X . The new RON 95 petrol with twice as much additives in a specially-formulated package from the world's leading chemical company in Germany.Comprising leading-edge detergent, anti-corrosion component and Friction Modifier ,BHPetrol infiniti cleans engine deposits build-up while reducing friction in engine moving parts. All that means added protection and lower fuel consumption. What's more INFINITI952X and INFINITI972X are dosed at 800ppm which is twice the manufacturer's recommended minimum treat rate. That's why our petrol is call Double Perfomance Fuel - Double Strength to clean and protect your engine while giving extra mileage and power For me, i think maybe the Friction Modification Technology in Shell V-Power almost same as BHPetrol (Friction Modifier) but just the pricing. :wacko |

Today pumped RM35 of Mobil 5000(Ron 95) for 206km. That's about 10.6km/L or RM0.17sen/km, 90% city drive. Seems bad fc huh? Usually I manage to get about RM0.15-0.16sen /km for Ron97. But I'm curious to know, does Ron has anything to do with fc? |

copy from petronas website..... Q. Can a higher octane fuel give me more power? A. If you are already using the recommended octane fuel, you will not obtain added power from higher octane level. from my understanding, both ron95/97 does not giving diff in maileage. they juz diff in terms of level/ efficiency of engine knocking. on the other hands, they said these vehicles need ron 97 to bring up their power :- 1. turbo-charged 2. sports car 3. high cc car, above 2.5 4. wat else...... ??? |

based on the 3 feedback above, we're now 50%/50% on the primax 95's performance. we need more input to judge the primax 95 may not meet our std.... anymore using primax 95 ?? currently, i'll stick to bhp 95 as their motto ===>>> double performance which is quite promising....... |

Been using Esso RON95 last few days. Not bad at all. Feel like my car very responsive and smooth. Only fuel up RM30 coz want to test. But can go up to 170KM. (OK lah for heavy footed like me. Everage RM30 only can go up to 150 KM only). |
