pretty soon malaysia would b like singapore.. singapore has a serious case of inflation.. prices of almost everything has been increasing..

i personally fwlt that spore actually has 2 things which were damn high price compare to m'sia :-

1. cost for purchase an apartment;
-- for a 4-room hbd flat, easily s$150k & above. if near city, will be s$200k above.
-- my fren's boss living in a double-storey terrace hse at kallang. he told us sold at s$2millions within 1 mth aft used for 12yrs.

2. transportation;
-- altho being recognizes as the most conveniences in asia, but their bus fare/ taxi fares price were keeps on hiking. eventhough mrt (mass railway transit) linked the entire spore island, juz imagine the fares.......... real expensive......

for transportation, SG is still ok if compare 1 to 1.

eg:
if i take cab from jb town to skudai, cost me rm20 (used to be rm15)
from woodland to changi, around sgd15

i take stupid bus from larkin to skudai, cost me around rm2
if you take smrt from east to west, the most is around sgd2.x (if i remember correctly)

if you compare the car price 1 to 1, SG is much cheaper...

for us majority above-average income earner still not so bad affected altho the price increase 50 cents also nothing we can do unless like someone said b4 in 2006 when price hike 30 cents :

""" kalao rasa petrol terlalu mahal & tak mampu nak beli, sila fikir cara lain """

what we're actually concern were those hard core poor & below-average income family.... :( :( :(

someone told me it will increase 60cents :blink :blink :blink :blink :blink

Just curious ler...
Malaysia adalah negara pengeluar Minyak...
they sell the minyak mentah to the negara ketiga...
and then bought the Oil from negara lain coz here we dun have the what u call that.
pusat pemprosesan minyak....
so...why don't we just build our own pusat pemprosesan minyak...?? :unsure
maybe they said it's too mahal....
but once again....mahal only for that moment...but after that menyenangkan rakyat
if we can send our man to became astronoult...built that..built this..send people to north & south pole for what..?? just for name....
to become the 1st to do that and this... :o

In Perhimpunan Umno they said that the subsidi for petrol akan dikurangkan...
that mean Petrol will up again next year and dun forget 'bout Toll rates...
Samy Vellu has confirm that it will up next year.... :thumbdown :devil2

global demand for petroleum products are increasing huge daily especially china as growing up giant needs tonness of petroleum to boost their strong economic revenue as yrs to come.

my question: no matter how much the price increase, the demand will nvr stop but keeps on shooting every moments. the global needs a long term solution & not juz price hike will reduce the global demand on this product.

on the other hand, those oil-producing country will hv lots of billionaires in this industry.

They are 2 tier structure of prices ..... (actually I thought this method long time ago... now they only implementing.... :angry )... Maybe.. 1.3 and below the price will remain and above 1.3 price increased.... this maybe the best way to close the gap between rich and poor... ;)

malaysia is a petrol producing country..

all petrol producing countries provides subsidy for their people..

petrol price increase, malaysia makes more money..

but somehow, goverment says they cannot afford?! where the extra profit go to?

malaysia DO HAVE minyak processing plant.. the petrol produced in malaysia is of a higher grade.. and used in jets, rockets and airplane.. MORE expensive then the ones used in cars/motobikes..

we export our high grade petrol, and import low grade petrol (suitable for cars)

since the subsidy for our petrol comes from the sales of our own petrol.. why is the goverment crying out so loud that it doesnt have enough $$ to offer subsidy anymore? especially since we are getting more from our petrol exports..
