Hi Bro Ocmax,

I don't really understand what you mean by "flush with the surface". Can you please explain further?

Meaning recessed mounted.

The unit you shown is surface mounted right...?? It can be dismantle easily/Stolen.

;)

ok, i understand now. at the moment, i don't have any of that type. the closest one i have is the round type that is screwed into your bumper. but that is not totally flushed with the surface. it still protrudes out probably by 2mm.

ANy technical detail or photo you can share...............??? :unsure

Hi,

Please refer to this page for photos and details of that item mentioned. I do not have physical stock with me in KL at the moment, but if there are 10 confirmed orders for it, then I'll bring it into KL and those who have ordered can collect it or I'll pos laju it to them. Price is RM80 per unit if I have enough confirmed orders. Pos laju is free.

im serious considering this particular product of his.

hey guys..

my next mod for my avanza is a night vision reverse view CCTV to be connected to my kenwood ICE.

RM160 w free delivery.

what do u guys think? RM160 only.. i suspect its only another RM20-30 for installation at accesory shop.. this type of reverse CCTV is aimed at the floor. many of the cheaper ones outside is fitted to view rear, not the floor.. which defeats the purpose of installing it. i want to see the longkang behind me.. LOL.

asked around, at acc shops, this camera cost RM400+ and the ones that are installed horizontally (at the bumper), cost RM300+

Well...........after called you and came back from breakfast, Me when to explore whether my idea is workable or not. After started the dismantling works, there is no turning back for me and I have to complete the whole installation because I have taken out a lot of things to check, explore and to reach where I can mount the reverse camera.

Anyway just to share where I mounted, where to tap the supply & Where to pull the cable out from the cabin.

Posted Image
Remember I told you my idea how I wanted to switch on the camera....?? This is the reverse sensor +VDC to tap the supply and you can add a fuse incase the outdoor camera short circuit.

How it works - When ever you engaged to Reverse gear the camera will be trigger to switch on.

Posted Image

This is where the connector located and the black box are the reverse buzzer. btw I tap the camera ground wire to the nut as shown using yellow cable lug.

Posted Image

The fuse I added for the camera.

Posted Image

This is where I pull out the cable from the cabin. You have to dismantle the rear bumper to access. To do this you have to remove 4 screws and a few drop in plug. btw you can see there is 3 black ventilation shaft for the cabin vacuum impact discharge. Opss.....the location is at the left hand side of the rear bumper.

My camera location, How I mounted the camera.....?? You have to ask me personally because of security concern. but you don't need worry whether people can pull out the camera because is consealed inside the bumper, Unless they take out the whole bumper.

One more thing you don't need to concern about people bump into my Avanza butt because if that happened I have another thing to claim from him/her lor............ :lol3:

The whole installation from checking and explore to complete. Took me 2 and a half hours. If my condition is better I think it can be faster.

btw....thanks for the help to pick up the camera from pisces78.

Regards,

ocmax
